iso 8601

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ISO_8601 describes this standard as includeing "By convention, the week starts with Monday. "

I saw this option on HiDownload 6.2 software scheduler. Inturesting.

Maybe i'll create a standard that makes all yellows orange; ya know, so we are all on the same page.

it isn't as stupid as it sounds. take for instance the scheduling of an NMR machine here. the work week starts on monday and ends on friday. if i want to hog more than just a night's worth of time on a machine, like say i have an experiment the needs to be in the machine for 2 days then i need the two non-work days to be grouped together for sign up purposes. else i have to look at one week and then look at the next etc until find two weeks that are open.

i realize it has practical application - yet the idea the world could re-order the days of the week concerns me; especially if this goes mainstream.
