my text editor of choice is ultraEdit. not free, but got it through work. its on the order of $20. i love it.
I have used notepad++ in the past. I can't remember if i liked it or not, but I do remember the name.
neal has been raving about pdfcreator vs cutepdf also so maybe i'll have to switch. i use it quite a bit for making graphics for my dissertation since i only incorporate jpg and pdf graphics.
sarah showed me FoxIT and i have it as my default now. works quite well except it doesn't seem to have a full screen mode to use for presentations. but for most stuff that doesn't matter.
i use eclipse for my text editor but it is pretty memory intensive and probably would use something else if it highlighted the tex code properly... oh and i found the time to go look for something else.
alt-2 or
or view, fullscreen, or
fullscreen icon on toolbar. for fullscreen in foxit reader 1.3
oh thanks.... i guess i had seen that before, but hadn't looked close enough at the settings to figure out how to get it to behave like every page was a slide instead of continuous scrolling. i'll have to dink around and figure that out.
